Funds progress

Here is where we are, what we lack, who is committing. Recap: in June, 2010, we’ll lose 80% of our personal monthly support, and only 1/3 of that has been replaced so far. Needed are churches and individuals to pick up the difference and press forward to replace funds lost through the foreign exchange rate.

The thermometer at right charts our progress so far in new commitments of support. Churches were contacted in 2009, and we’re again off to the U.S. in May-June, 2010, for more contacts. So far we have these monthly commitments toward the needed $5000 per month.

  • One couple of friends have committed to a minimum of $500 annually, which averages to $41.66 per month.
  • The Eureka IL church begins $125.00 monthly in March, 2010.
  • The Somers Ave. church has almost doubled their monthly support by $983.00.
  • The Baker Heights church increased their support temporarily by 50% ($186) between Oct. 2009-Feb. 2010. This support will continue through 2010.
  • A couple in Kentucky committed to $50 monthly in April, 2010.

These amounts are over and above those already being provided by supporting churches for working fund and, in a couple of instances, personal support (one family in Miss., another in Tenn.). Other amounts include:

  • The Liberty church, Paragould AR, sent $1200 in January as a one-time amount. Since it is not a regular commitment, it is not reflected in the scale.

See the Give page on how to join in on the fun. And be sure to let us know.
