The main items of today’s newsletter are included in a beautiful, printable PDF distributed by email to friends and supporters. Here are a few more:
- Vicki now has 75 women in the Bible-reading group on WhatsApp that she and Marli oversee. It grows organically, little by little.
- Carlos Henrique from Rio asked for some 30 copies of the evangelistic study course, “Da morte para a vida” (From life to death). He’s teaching the brethren there how to evangelize. The book of 61 pages uses a question and answer format. It’s time to reprint!
- He was especially interested in the course, “Jesus Cristo, o caminho simples” (Jesus Christ, the simple Way), but it's out of print. It was published in 1999. The original files to it have been lost. We've worked on a new version of it, but it's far from ready.
- The latest magazine issue (Edificação, no. 72, new series) featured the theme, “Religion or Faith?”. Next up: the theme of “Priesthood” for no. 73.
- It’s months away yet, but from the chatter I hear, next year’s Festival promises to grow by a nice leap in numbers.
- Valdir from Guarulhos was kind to mention me, among others, in one of his daily devotionals, considering fellowship in the letter to the Philippians. He mentions some who have blessed his life: “And what to say about brothers and friends beyond the borders of my city, like Randal Matheny, for over 30 years a great personal encourager and in the work of writing ….”
- I had a screen capture of one of the online meetings with Thiago and Pedro in the PDF document, but they didn't like their expressions, so I replaced it with a screen capture of our main site in Portuguese from 1999. We've been around the block!
