Sign-up time here for our Festival
We’re just now opening up for sign-ups for our Festival of the Family of God Apr. 18-20 at a retreat center in the next city over. Pedro Augusto, my right-hand man who makes it all come together, thinks we'll hit 100 participants this time. Each year it grows.
The theme for this fourth annual event is “The Promises of Christ.” All the speakers and topics are set. People from several, at least five, states will be coming.
We’re subsidizing the event in a significant way. The economy here is hurting.
IN OTHER NEWS
- We’ve started a midweek Bible study at Northside. We work on learning new songs and studying the translation of David Pharr’s book for new converts.
- I extensively updated the English-language website for the congregations here. Have a look-see.
- Vicki and I have again sent Pedro’s daughter and nieces to the Christian camp here. We consider it a good investment in their growth and development. January is the summer session, with a week each for different age brackets. I worked with the camp board when our children participated.
- The radio program is a regular feature in my weekend agenda, on Wednesday mornings for 1-2 hours at a time. Valdizan and I work well together dealing with biblical subjects. He recently renamed his effort Rádio Semear, or Sowing Radio. The live programs have video as well. Here’s my most recent program together.
- Forthright.net continues unabated. One man wrote Jan. 22, “Thanks! I started following your forthright RSS feed, loving what I've read there so far.”
Pray for us. There is much to do. There are few willing to put their hand to the plow.
